Headlights stopped working

I need some pointers on figuring out why my headlights stopped working. I've had the RSIWorks headlights for about 6.5 years. The turns, parking, halos, and amber offroads still work, but low and hi beams on both sides stopped working. I’ve checked fuses. Is there a single relay somewhere that controls the headlights?

Also, I'm still having a hard time locating some of the black cylindrical resistors. Let me know if you have a link to some sites where I can buy 2.

PS I sent a PM to RSIWorks, and in the past, customer service was prompt and exceptional, but I haven't received a reply. Anyone know if RSIWorks is still in business?

did you check your fuses? what year is the truck? did it have halogen lights from the factory?

Its kinda hard to diagnose the problem with no info. I'd assume there's a control relay if these are HID lights.

I have been thru 2 morimoto motocontrol relays in 3 years due to corroded wires in the plug. could be anything bro...

Thanks for asking for the extra info. (I had copied my text from my note to RSIWorks and forgot to add in extra detail for everyone else).

2011 Ford Raptor Super Crew
changed out the OEM headlights over 6 years ago with RSIWorks Level 4 HIDs

I checked all 3 fuses in passenger side fuse box (16, 17 and something like 49).
I don't see anything the engine bay fuse box that pertains to headlights.

I just changed out one of the Morimotos about a year ago.

If you’re running HID retrofits, you likely have a Hi-Lo relay harness. The relay would be the box central to the harness. Depending on whether you have the latest version of the relay housing, it could’ve failed due to water intrusion and/or age. You can check with Dawson at Raptor Retrofits for troubleshooting help or to order a new retrofit harness.

The only other possibilities are that your bulbs and/or ballasts crapped out. Swapping the harness is often easier than chasing wires with a volt meter though.

If it was just the bulbs, I’d think that the projector shutter would still work for high beams even though there’d be no light output.

FYI. There’s also a fuse holder on the 12v power wire running from your battery positive to the relay control box in case you hadn’t checked that already.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping there was one central relay, fuse, etc that controls both sides. That would be easier to understand for both sides going out at the same time rather than coincidence of 2 Morimotos, or 2 relays, etc going out at the same time.

Most likely the wire harness. Mine corroded and both lights went out. Also check the ballasts but if both lights are out it’s likely the harness. It’s pretty cheap from the retrofit source

Finally found the culprit. The Morimoto relay was tucked up in a hard to see spot. It was all corroded and the connector was barely dangling on it. Will order a new one. Thanks for all the help.

Actually, one more question...where can I find the little black cylinder inline for the halos? I need to replace 4 of those.
