Damn.

This is scary, glad I bought a battery tender and attached it before I installed my tune. Not that this is the issue, just saying. It was even scary when I was doing it. I had COBB on the damn phone at the same time haha.
It was either the trailer or hitting start too early. I’ve loaded HUNDREDS of tunes, no issue ever.... This was a fluke. I’m besides myself.

MPT has seen this before, I believe.... I’ve done my homework. I love their tune. Really improved performance. DRASTICALLY. Their tune mods/adjustments have been punctual and impressive - but THIS sucks.

I’ll be switching my tune to ORA/GearHead I believe.

Don't take this the wrong way, but if you love the tune, and the failure was caused by an error on your part, why would you dismiss using it again?

Again, no offense intended, just don't see any reason to fault the tuner.

Typically a bricked ECU results in a dead vehicle - so it isn't what I'd call bricked. A relash literally reflashes the memory in there so I'm not sure what is going on there. As stated above, it doesn't matter what tuner you would use, if you **** it up with cutting power in the middle of the flash bad shit will happen. Please post how this gets resolved.

I didn't cut power during my MPT tune but it messed my system up somehow. Finally after about 3 or 4 hours of dealer work they finally got everything back to normal and I went to the Cobb tune and then to the ORA. I like the ORA tune a lot!

Luckily i have not had issues loading tunes on my other trucks , but I only load and mess with tunes in my Driveway , that way if something goes wrong your at home . Heard of many stories about bricked computers and getting tow trucks big mess. I wiil be putting a COBB stage 2 tune on my 19 here in next few weeks .

BarryG,

What dealer did you buy your Raptor from? I bricked my ECM and my dealer in Vernal worked with me and it was an MPT. Did you change the tire size calibration when you originally downloaded the tune? I know the guys at Crandall Ford pretty well, they may help.

Why would changing the tire size effect anything? Just curious because my friend got a tire size error code when uninstalling his Cobb. Probably didn’t set it back to factory..
