Overall agree, any of the oils would be fine as long as you keep it clean. In industrial engines and turbines that run 24/7 the oil is changed yearly in most cases. The emphasis is on very high quality filtering and monitored with monthly oil analysis.Which oil is best is the oldest argument (or discussion) on teh intarwebz. Project Farm on youtube did some very good testing of a bunch of synthetic oils, you should check it out if you haven't already. I would venture to say that every one of those oils would be fine to use with proper OCI - including amazon basics. The only one that I personally would NOT use is the royal purple. That said, in his testing Amsoil came in first with Penzoil Platinum in a close second.
my 84 944 seemed to like GTX and my 89 951 uses VR1.sweet...my 1st internet oil fight of 2023....
For the record, I have used Mobil 1 full synthetic since 1992 in all my cars (except the 944). It has never done me wrong, even with some formulation changes over the years. 7000-8000 mile changes and I just don't worry about oil.
I use the 20w-50 VR1. The car sits from Nov to Mar.my 84 944 seemed to like GTX and my 89 951 uses VR1.
Pricey for sure. Remember the Raptor isn't just DI, it also has port injection. I'm sure it's good oil though.Driven Racing Oil DI30. Only oil blended that starts with a mPAO base that I am aware of. This oil was designed for Ecoboost Ford engines from the start. All others on here were blended with a broad market of applications.
same here. the 84 has 34k on it. the 89 has 77k.I use the 20w-50 VR1. The car sits from Nov to Mar.
gorgeous. Let me see if I can find some of mine.
