Has anyone nearly crashed trying to "feel" for the Fan Speed Control?

I've been using the manual settings. Until I read this thread. Auto does work really well.

Also, how come whenever I set it on recirculation it will revert back to fresh air on its own? Drives me nuts.

recirc, is for max cooling so it doesnt have to try and cool 120 degree outside air. in auto, if it feels its easier to maintain a set temp it has no need to recirculate the already cooled air and is able to give you fresh air.
