I am still in the process of wrapping mine in a "desert pinstrip" wrap :peace:

It's free and chicks dig scars!

I have the 3m. Had the front and the mirrors done. Also where the bed cap could contact the bed in heavy offroading. Works good. I am in love bug country. Them suckers will eat the paint in 48 hours. Had a company from Orlando come over. Cost me $500 bones. Well worth it. Jack

Thats a good price, locally places want ~1000+ to do it. So will probably do it myself.

If a person were to put clear film on the bottom of the truck and the front of the hood in order to protect the paint, and it began to crack after 5 years, can the damaged film be easily removed without damaging the finish underneath? Then it can be replaced. Right? But the paint would still be flawless?

I would think the paint underneath the bra would be in great shape...I think 5 years is a good life for a truck that takes a beating...

i dont know what you mean by the bottom of the truck, but even old damaged film can be removed easily if it is from a reliable company. i had a rock tear up the front of my subaru. it left a gouge about 2in long. my clear film was on for 3 years at the time. easily removed and no damage to the paint.

Looking at doing my truck with the Scotchgard Paint Protection Film from 3M. I have a certified installer by me that will do the entire front end and the rocker panels/lower 12" or so of the truck for $800 to $900. The retail price came up as $1123. And he said we can always do the rest of the truck at any time if you'd like. That's product and installation.

Anyone do this lately? Thoughts?

I considered it but got 2 quotes and both were about $5000. Will probably just do the rocker panels and the leading edge of the hood.

TT

How much is the entire clear xpel wrap for the whole truck.
5000$ for the installation of the clear wrap?
