Harsh Shifting

After reading about this I took my 2017 in and told them I needed a reflash. They asked a couple questions regarding my issues and I told them harsh shifting and that there is a TSB on it. They had it done in 2 hrs. Feels good now.

Carpet recall?

Yes, they removed the B pillar and placed some anti flame materials on the edge of the carpet to prevent it from catching on fire if the side air bags go off. Recall 18S27.

Has anyone noticed a drastic change in their distance to empty numbers? Mine went down from 610 to 535 when full. The odd thing is that the DTE calc was steady at 533 for 2 days. This is after the reflash.

I took my 18 in for the 10k service and the TSB. At first they were not familiar with the TSB but said they did it when i picked it up. Can't tell if it worked or not? is there a way i can tell if they actually did it?

If they did, you should notice, but not for a day or so since it goes through a learning phase. Mine actually shifted much harder at first, especially from 3-5. The next day it was smooth as silk.

If you can't tell by simply driving, you didn't need it. There's a huge difference in how the transmission behaves in sport mode.

I printed the TSB and gave it to the dealer here near Denver. They looked at me skeptically but their tech did it and it made a huge difference!

Driving in sport mode is much smoother and my mpg average actually went up a half a gallon [emoji2369]

Having been on an MPT tune for a while I was surprised to think that stock felt good.

Now I need to re-pull my stock tune files and send them over to MPT for an update [emoji3]

I went from a 2018 to a 2019 which came with the updated tranny tune. The shifting is night and day in normal and sport.

I’ve done this reflash at my local ford shop. I now have Cobb stage 1
And it seems like the hard engagement is back from N to Drive causing truck to almost jerk forward. Any ideas for this ?
