I used a Blendmount with my Valentine and ran a power wire around the windshield and down the right A pillar...Then I tapped into one of the uplifter switches so I could leave it on to come on/off with the ignition.

Man you guys have it easy with your radar detectors/ jammers! Since I'm in Virginia aka the only state radar detectors are illegal I can't have it just sitting in plain sight so years ago I started putting the passport 9500 in all my cars and they have saved me more times than I can count. They are hard wired in with 3-4 sensors up front that detect and jam and 2 in he rear so ya I know if a cop want to be a **** he can impound my car if he finds it but hasn't happened yet. I always wondered about how good the valentines were because I've never been able to run one but I hear a lot of good things about them. If your looking for the cleanest install look at the passport 9500 on eBay. You can't even tell it's in there unless it goes off.

I'm not a radar expert. I'm testing the new Radenso that will cost $400 versus my old Passport Max.

I've had one for a year. I got mine last year during Black Friday. It will be much better than your passport.

I'm purchasing a Valentine 1. I'm looking to mount it by the review mirror. I'd like to hardwire it so it will turn on and off with ignition. Any specific instructions for the 2017 F150 Raptor available online? I've found videos on YouTube but they are outdated or different vehicles. I don't wanna pull out the wrong fuse or mess up the wiring. Anyone come across a detailed instruction guide?

You want the mirror tap for the wiring and blend mount. It's the best setup for the V1 period. The V1 is the best on the market, you can send it back for updates.

I'm actually running the 9500ix, had it since it came out years ago. It's been a hit or miss for me. Ive been watching some of vortex radars videos recently and the V1 consistently outperforms the escorts with exception to redline. I'm pretty excited to hardwire up the Raptor so I figured I'd get a jump on figuring out how I'm going to set her up.

I like the concept of the blendmount, looks super clean. But wanted to put it up beside the review mirror. I was planning to run it in stealth mode and Bluetooth pair it with the YaV1 app for the GPS lockouts and custom sweeps. I just get uncomfortable when I pass a Leo and they see the radar hanging on my windshield or below my rear view mirror.

I have my blendmount set very close to the mirror, it looks seamless and is hardly noticeable. I would post a pic if I knew how with my iPhone. It's also reachable to mute if needed.

K40 makes one: RL360i Radar Detector | K40 Electronics

I have never used a K40 so i cant speak how good they are but its another option.

On another note, lately i feel ****** has been slacking with tech and going for bells and whistles and good marketing..

They make a mirror mount that makes it tough to see. I've got one. I'll look around and see if I can find where I bought it. Has worked great Offroad and just about invisible from outside of the truck.
