Autogeek.com has a hard water filter that hooks up to your hose bib that filters out the hard water. We have hard water that leaves nasty water spots too so I got one and it eliminated the spots. Costs about $100 and just attaches via a short piece of hose (which is included with the filter) to the hose bib. If you get it, note that the filter does not come with a hard water filter, only a sediment filter, you have to order the hard water filter separately. The filter is easily recharged. I now leave it hooked up to the one hose bib and my wife uses it all the time for other things too.

Sorry it's not autogeek.com, it's autogeek.net

Put water filter in their search and it brings them up.

Well, after smelling like a pickle maker for two days, and trying several detail products that say they remove water spots, i have removed the spots from the paint, but still have a few on the glass.
I broke down and ordered the hard water filter from autogeeks, should have it monday. guess I'll be trying a claybar on the glass.

Toadman-the water filter should fix you up for the future, it did for me anyway. Even using the spray it yourself car washes here in El Paso and rinsing with the "spot free rinse" I would get hard water spots and some hazing from the water. The in line filter I got from autogeeks did the trick for me, hopefully it will work for you too. You probably know this but also make sure you don't try to wash your vehicle when it's really hot, if you are in a dry climate like we are the combo of heat and dry air causes the water and/or soap to dry so quickly it will spot.

Just a tip if you have one (I have 2 lol) the more powerful gas leaf blowers eliminate the need to "dry" the vehicle... Doing it for years...

You can use a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar on your paint to get rid of water spots. I can't imagine it hurting the graphics, but I don't know for sure if it will or not.

Thats what we use to wipe down the boat after a day on the lake. It has gel-coat / vinyl graphics and we have seen no negative effects from using the 50/50 mixture.

In-Line Water Softener With Fittings

In-Line Water Softener & Deionizer Reduces Those Nasty Water Spots
If you live in an area where the water is hard, full of minerals and are tired of seeing your car-washing efforts end up in water spots because you can't dry it off fast enough, then I have a great solution for you. This In-Line Water Softener & Deionizer removes minerals from tap water to end those dreaded water spots. This is a problem I've struggled with for years where I live, and I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I used this filter. Amazingly, instead of my rinse water spotting, a thin layer of water is left behind with absolutely no spots! Now it's possible to rinse the car and dry it off without the worry of my glass and paint spotting before I can get to it. Simply attach to your hose spigot. The green crystals change to purple, indicating when it's time to replace the filter. A revolutionary new way to give your car that final rinse. I'm a happy man, now. Measures 13" long, 4 1/4" in diameter. Fittings included.
