There's no way I could ever get away with anything like this. I'd get shot so fast by any cop who pulled me over. It's cool but no thanks.

I’ve made my own leather holster, and having watched a buddy make a kyle rig for my 500S&W I have to say plastic would be much easier on my hands !

Oh yes a lot easier! I let the press, vice, and toaster oven do all the work for me lol. Nice thing about kydex is you can reheat and cool as much as you need.

That's nice looking work!

Thank you sir! I'll be working on felt lined holsters next to minimize slide wear on the kydex.

Make me one!

Sir yes sir! You're gunna owe me a lot of beer this year jet [emoji482].

I run the Gum Creek under steering wheel holster. No issues even while offroading. Would recommend and repurchase.

Smurf I just finished my kydex OWB carbon fiber holster last night. If you notice I trimmed down the grip area and also molded the back side higher than the front to prevent unnecessary rubbing and for me to be able to draw quickly. I will be making the same holster for the truck to be mounted without the bend points. Hope this makes sense. There's obviously a lot more to this process but just wanted to show a couple pics for you guys.

Thanks for the idea @Azholley!

I showed this to my daughter, who works in a factory for carbon fiber boats. She got excited about trying to make one for my CZ 75. To add an extra level of safety, she first made a complete mold out of fiberglass. Next we plan to create a copy of the gun for using in the carbon fiber process.
