I think those in that pic are a 1.50 base , so they’re no good noticed that after I posted. I’ve seen a few online shops with the 1.25 stud in ss, so I may look into those. Any idea how long the OEM stud is? I guess I could go buy one to measure.

Got started on the install today. Took a little bit to get the supercharger off. I had forgotten how difficult a few of those bolts were to get to. I noticed oil residue at the rear of the blower near the jackshaft. IMG_0559.jpegIMG_0546.jpegIMG_0553.jpeg


Is this oil blow-by coming through the pcv system? I have a JLT catch can on the passenger side, but it still looks like a lot of oil passing through. I’m wondering if I didn’t have the left rear bolt as tight as it needed to be and it allowed some oil to push past the o-ring? When I put the blower on a level table, it appeared to have the correct amount of oil, so I don’t think it’s supercharger oil.

Anyone know how to drain the oil to change it? The install manual doesn’t mention about how to service the oil, only that it needs doing every 100k miles. Gonna change it while it’s off.

you siphon the old oil out of the fill plug and add the correct amount. motor craft and ac delco also sell supercharger oil. last i bought sc oil, the ac delco was cheaper but, that could be different now.

Just turn it over and let it drain out the fill port. No need to vac it out if it's off the truck.

The IC looks really clean. You could pull it and clean it, but it really doesn't look like it needs it to me.

That intercooler looks nice and clean.
The JLT catch can is a little small, and there are members that add another screen in the can to catch more oil.
I went with the large Moroso can with a drain on the bottom, nice not having to unscrew the can.
I did a little mod to my catch can system, I added a one way valve to prevent boost pressure going back to the PVC system.

It looks like JLT has updated the screen in their cans at some point. I’ll reach out and see if mine is the older style. That check valve looks nice. I’ll see if I can find one in stock somewhere.

Where exactly did you place that in your system?

Well, I just found out from my local Ford dealership that the driver side motor mount is on back order. Ordered these on the 16th, and was told 5-7 days. Talked to them last Friday and was told they hadn’t come in yet. Guess they weren’t really checking on them. Guy said they may not have gotten the order in early enough. Can’t depend on anyone. I suppose I’ll skip motor mounts and proceed. I may go ahead and change the transmission mount when I do the lead frame update in the near future. I don’t have any weird vibrations, so hopefully they’re still good- has 120k on it.
