The Whelen micro pioneers throw the most light by far. Jimmy from wsi makes a great bracket for them that mounts them on either side if the license plate. They look awesome

I'm looking for a clean looking setup in led. I love the 20" in the bumper, hold mounts and a fog type setup but the budget won't support more than one for now.

Does anyone have experience about what throws the most light? In honesty it would be used for paved back roads and some dirt roads going to the cottage or driving to Florida late at night but mostly for looks.

With light bars behind the grill does it seem to produce shadows or dim the lights because it's shinig through so much material?

Love the lok of the blue raptor with the 20"

The M&R bars are a nice affordable option. But LED light bars are not legal to run on the road. A few of us have Whelen Micro Pioneers from WSI mounted in the lower grill. They through a ton of light down the road, thus why Law Enforcement and the like use them.
They also come with interchangeable lenses. The horizontal defused lens is what I run on back country roads or the highway when keeping an eye out for deer.

You can see the two M&R bars below the grill. And the Whelens on the WSI mount in the lower grill. (The mount will actually hold 4 lights, but as you can see, they flank my winch quite nicely.)

The pic sucks, but I have a 20" M&R behind the grill and 20" Rigid in the Bumper. I am happy with both of them.

Anyone else able to share their setup? I'm leaning toward a 20 in the bumper but I like the idea of 4 whelen on an m&r bracket in the same location.

As for legal... Well... I'd deal with that when the time comes. Too be honest I don't think there's a ticket for having it on up here. Worst case it would be a warning for glare. :boobs:
