Yeah they do, there is no master "key", each one is wired differently with black wires go through the the firewall.

They would either need an hour or more to reverse engineer and rewire your truck (probably 3 or 4 hours) to get it to start without the "key" or have a tow truck to steal it.

My buddy put one on his truck, the next day they attempted to steal it, they pushed it down the road a little bit to move it from the driveway, couldn't get it to start so he woke up and found it in the same spot they left it.

They have worked well for me for many years, I have no complaints and put them in all my vehicles, best anti theft option I've ever used.
Is this system available in Canada.

Edit, looks like it is.

I read through a couple threads (Thread 1, Thread 2, Thread 3), if someone wants your truck it will happen, but in general here is the tl:dr summary for some mods other posters have done.

Activate Ford Pass asap at dealer before leaving the lot and ensure the spare key does not stay in the vehicle when you park it for the first time.

Two mods to help prevent theft and track the theft

1. Ravelco. This prevents the truck from starting even if you clone a key with whatever technology they are using. You must have the Ravelco plug to start the vehicle. Comes with one spare, you can order more if needed.

2. Hidden GPS tracker (in addition to Ford Pass, in case they cut the modem or battery in the truck). The only way to steal your truck if you have Ravelco is with a tow truck. In that case, GPS tracker will help find it, its smart to hide this and not have it easy to find, some sort of battery allow it to track even if the thief cuts your battery or pulls some fuses. Geofence for certain hours and location to alert you when it leaves your property at night for example. Tons of options here for GPS tracker (Viper, ODB II adapters, battery powered, etc), which has a monthly cost for the service/data plan of course. New options on the market are trackers from Tmobile SyncUp Tracker (works in CAN/USA/Mexico) and Apple (Airtag, requires nearby iPhone to track). Each have their advantages and disadvantages you will need to research on which one you want, if any.

Mods to help prevent entry into truck

3. Replace front driver door handle with passenger door handle. This removes the lock cylinder from the handle all together. Downside here is if your battery completely drains, you cannot use a key to open your door. A mod with this should be some way to access your battery to charge it a bit to unlock the doors, one poster added a 4 gauge wire from the battery to a position you can access it from under the truck.

4. Jimmi Jammer for the hood, door handles and tailgate. Helps prevent the ability to pop the hood with a tool, open the door with a tool, or take your tailgate easily.

5. Faraday key holder. Something to put your keys in when not driving. Helps prevent relay or cloning of keys.

6. Ford Perimeter Plus or some sort of additional car alarm (Viper for example). This is an additional alarm system that detects vibration (hitting vehicle, or smashing window). Default system only alarms when door is opened, so long as they dont use your key cylinder to make the truck think you opened the door with your key. Some posters also said they hooked up their alarm to a different horn (separate train horn for one poster, lol). Common theme was the crook cut the standard car horn for step 1 of the steal, so this backup will come in handy.

Does the ravelco impact the warranty?

No is what their site says. Also found a Camero forum that says No.

It continues to amaze me how aftermarket companies misinterpret Magnuson-Moss. It was enacted to prevent manufacturers from voiding a warranty due simply to the use of OE-equivalent parts, such as oil filters, fuel filters, air filters, etc, unless the aftermarket part is directly attributed to the failure, such as a Fram oil filter disintegrating and damaging the engine.

It has nothing to do with drilling a hole though the bulkhead of your vehicle and splicing an aftermarket kit into a factory harness, which ever manufacturer specifically states NOT to do. Splicing into any late model engine or body control module and interrupting circuits can to result in DTCs, warning messages, and starting, battery drain, and driveability issues.
