We put in 2 orders at a High Volume Chicago Dealer, and 1 at a small WI dealer, all with cf package. None would be pulled until we removed the package. Our orders went in 7/20, so might be more random than simply an idea that the earliest orders got the supply of them.

I ordered on 7/26 and priority was 01. Build date 10/24. I have owned 3 raptors. There is no rhyme or reason how they get picked. I ordered a 17 F350 KR and a 17 F450 Platinum on day one the order banks opened and they are scheduled for 9/26 and 10/4. It's just the luck of the draw...

Dealers are only able to assign priority codes from 10-99.

I'm not doubting your order had a PC 1. Just that every person I know who works for Ford has told me that only Ford can designate Priority Codes from 1-9. That's probably exactly what happened with your order, and why you got an early build date.

By the way... Why are you so upset, bud? You have a build date! Lol

Dealer priority codes are assigned by the DEALER. They can be under the number 10, but are rare. They assign the importance that the DEALER uses when placing orders with Ford. It doesn't mean that they will be built in any particular order, but it's great to see that a dealer puts the Raptor orders above others......

A bit more research on this ...

I always believed it was only mother Ford that could do 1-9 in the priority code. Looks like Zone Managers can option a build in to the 1-9 regions but dealers themselves cannot.

My information was based on the 2014 that I ordered. It had a #1 priority, but maybe that was because they got it approved first. I don't really know. Conversations with my dealer led me to believe they could, so......

My thinking is, the dealer can go as low as 10, then the regional/zone managers can pick/choose from there.

This is from a dealer on the mustang boards. I think he does a pretty good job explaining it. Makes me think, the dealers that have a better relationship with their zone manager, probably get priority or special favors done. Or should a dealership call their zone rep and be like, "I got this customer who is stretching my balls thin, mind bumping this order up?" or something to that extent. Looks like constant complaining may actually help (or hurt if the zone manager wants you to FO)

When I place orders for a customer (a retail order), I have to give it a priority code from 10-19. Orders for store inventory (a stock order) gets a 20-89 priority code. Priority codes tell Ford which order the dealer wants them built in, from lowest # to highest. Cars only compete against the same model within the same dealership, so I can put a 10 on a Mustang and a 10 on a Focus, and they don't affect each other. However, a 10 on a Mustang V6 trumps an 11 on a GT, so you have to compare your own priority code on a Mustang order against all the other Mustangs ordered at that dealership.

The regional offices can pull an order ahead of all others for that dealer by assigning an "01" priority code. This is usually done for specialty vehicles and/or when a customer calls in to complain about an order taking too long.
