Sounds like a 'ticking' sound to me...otherwise sounds great...if you are concerned have a data logger used for your installer and see what comes up...

Thanks for the info guys. I know some noise is normal for superchargers, but it does seem that a few people don't have the noise I'm hearing. I'd like to get rid of the noise if possible. But if I can't, it's not that big of a deal.

Overall, I am very happy with the Whipple. The increase in power is definitely noticeable and it drives very smoothly.

That being said, I think I've been bitten by the horse power bug. I'm thinking of doing some additional upgrades like smaller pulley, Ford racing cobra throttle body, headers, drive shaft, tune, etc...

Also probably gonna get the Icon bump stop and maybe some springs.

Get rear springs!!!

I waited way to long before doing springs and always had wheel hop!
Even just trying to pass someone with the Whipple if I got on it to hard.

I'll be getting the Deaver +2 springs to go with my Icon Bump Stop. Stillen will be installing both for me next week. I'm also getting the Icon power steering reservoir and cooler and the 3.375 pulley for my Whipple.

Later on, I'll be looking at headers, throttle body upgrade, and retune.

Hey guys, just wanted to give you an update. I took my truck back to Stillen to get these items installed:

Deaver +2 springs
Icon bump stop
3.375" pulley for my Whipple
Icon power steering reservoir

Took it in on Thursday and got it back Friday. Here's my impressions so far:

With the Deaver springs, the truck feels a lot more planted, less bouncy. It has almost completely eliminated wheel hop. I say almost, because if I floor it from first gear, there's still a little bit of wheel hop, but it's much better than before.

I haven't really noticed much of a change with the smaller pulley. I guess it's getting into boost slightly earlier, but it's certainly not a huge difference. Horsepower supposedly goes up about 10hp or so with the smaller pulley.

My Corsa catback interfered with the Icon bump stop. They could not reinstall the section of pipe that goes over the rear axel. So they put a downturn right after the muffler. Unfortunately this caused a huge amount of drone and vibration. So I took it to a muffler shop and had them run it to the side of the truck, right in front of the rear wheels and reattach the tips from my Corsa. This helped, although there's still a small amount of drone and vibration. It's only really noticeable when I drive into my garage. The overall volume of the exhaust has increased and the tone has gotten deeper. I'm actually really liking the sound.

I was hoping to hear all wheel hop was going to be gone.
My SD Nationals also has a little wheel hop if the pavement is hot and clean.
I am contemplating switching to Deavers +2 , now I have to rethink. :-(
May just go with HD Nationals, I've heard there isn't any wheel hop from the several Whipple guys that are running them and posting.

Each step down in pulley size 1/8 of an inch is 10 to 15 rwhp gain something you would not feel but the added response is nice.
