For those of y’all not in the know, valvoline is technically the only other company manufacturing ULV atf. Amsoil markets it but after testimg sus viscosity it fails to meet spec.

Threadvival: Are Valvoline ULV and Mercon ULV compatible … as in a pan drop, filter change, and fill with Valvoline… being a good mix… or should I stick with Mercon ULV only?

I would guess, Valvoline make the Ford ULV. Ford is not in the oil lubrication refining business. Like other OEMs, they work with lubrication companies to develop a lubricate for the products.
