Just left Moab. Did the white Rim Trail. Spent the night at the white crack camp ground. Room for lots of people but had the whole place to my self. The secret of the White Rim Trail is the Lanthrop Trail. It is a 4-5 mile diversion off the main trail but it puts you river side. You could swim, kayak, floats, etc. No one around for miles. Fits 3-4 vehicles, has picnic tables, and a toilet. Very secluded.

I don't know anything about the Lathrop trail, so I just looked it up on Google Maps. According to the map (LINK), the trail heads west from White Rim Rd, whereas the river is east of the road. It looks like it connects White Rim Rd to Grand View Point Rd. Is Google Maps wrong, or did I look up the wrong trail?

[EDIT] Just found it...looks like it's actually called Lathrop Canyon Rd. Here is a link the map.[/EDIT]
