Yup stock rear springs suck a s s.
Worn out rear shocks is another thing to consider.
I had to step out for a few hours so I'm a little late to fully respond.
First, traction bars do nothing to aid in handling, they only stop wheel hop.
Second, you don't want +1s for the Deavers, +2 is factory ride height and well keep the Fox valving in the shock were it's designed for.
You need to put the front shocks at
mid-perch, this is where Fox designed the optimum valving position of the front shocks.
They are at bottom perch because D.O.T. requires a certain height for the front bumper, this forced Ford to put them at bottom perch from the factory.
Plus when you set the front shocks to
mid-perch, this will preload the front springs the raise the nose to within a 1/2 to 3/4 inch of level, with either the stock or Deavers +2 rear springs.
There is a bigger benefit to doing m
id-perch and having the springs set to the compression it was originally design for.
Besides helping with body roll, it will aid in nose diving when hitting the brakes, especially when coming to a turn and hitting the brakes.
I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, when the truck feels and does at high enough speed, like it wants to push out in a turn.
