I will be passing through Chicago on my way to TA so I feel it is necessary to stop for a deep dish pizza. Where is a good convenient joint to stop at? One that is close to the freeway as I don't want to be driving all over the place.

If you keep going just past Chicago on Route 90, get off in Gary, Indiana on Martin Luther King Drive. There are a few great places along there. You can thank me later!

There is only 1 true original deep dish pizza and that's downtown Chicago.

Pizzeria uno and pizzeria due. (Same place different corners)

(No not uno's pizza that shit is garbage)

It's not like all pizza around here is deep dish. It's really not even that common

Why would you want deep dish from Gary IN? I'm with Huck on places to get deep dish although would add one or two more places and would probably be up for a stop in one of them before heading out.

Some of the 'ol faithful establishments have fallen off a bit, this is my defacto recommendation to any outta towner. Parking is tough, and probably not off the average route, but absolutely worth a little extra time

I think this is the first time I have ever seen the words Gary, Indiana and great places used at the same time! I like Geno's for pizza when I'm in Chicago.

Pequod's is good but not really true to the Chicago style deep dish. Parking is easy if you just head northwest on clybourn for a little bit and don't mind a short walk.

Is there a big difference between a helmet that is DOT approved and/or Snell?

I am shopping for some helmets but want to try them on to make sure I get the fit. Found this that is close to me but don't see Snell ratings.
