Hats off to jimmy at wsi. Within hours of ordering a flag mount he sent a personal email to thank me for the purchase and that it had been shipped.. This kind of stuff is rare these days unfortunately.

I agree, he was great to deal with. They hadn't typically shipped to Canada so he worked with me to ship it with USPS to save me some duty/brokerage fees.

PS. thanks to Jason as well for helping me out

Here are a few pics from our first outing to I96 Speedway. The trip was mainly to establish a course layout and discuss changes that will be needed to work with our trucks.

Gotta a question on the dunes and possibly trails (if we ever get somewhat of a run together). My wife invited her parents to go with us. Before you say something, they are cool in-laws but retired and older of course.

How will the ride in the back seat be on the dunes and/or trails? I ask because after going to TRR, it seems like it would of been rough but not sure how it would be for this trip. If I do this, I would be purchasing a couple more CG-Locks as I found them to be one of the best things I purchased for TRR, I was really impressed and would want to keep them planted in their seats.

The Silver Lake sand dunes and the western MI trails at all sand. The trails usually have varying degrees of whoops in them. The Dunes is 100% fine to have someone in the back. Usually there is only 2 or 3 sections at the dunes with whoops.

I've had people in the back seat of my truck at both places. You just need to take it a bit easier IMHO with people in the back.

In the summer, we camp up there with a large group, and load ppl of varying ages in the screws for ridealongs. Just drive accordingly to your passengers comfort level. Can always drop them off at the lake michigan side (where it says 25mph area) to walk or hang at the beach as you go test your personal limits :party36:

I had a full load of people in my truck for awhile at Little Sahara and it was fine, but, they weren't old.

Another consideration is if they are tall, it's easy to bouncy their head off the inside of the roof. A friend of mine broke his shades that were on top of his head when I hit a hard bump with my truck. But, he is 6'5" or so.

The back seat will not lock down. Therefore the people in the back take it a lot rougher than the front.

I wouldn't do the following with your in-laws in the back.
Jump
Whoops
Other wise for the sand, you should be ok.
