count me in for silver lake! (blue sold me on it) i wont have tow hooks with new bumper coming any recommendations for mounting the flag?

Have them add a flag mount to your bumper, it would just be a small tab with a hole in it.
You can see mine in this pic here to the left of the amber light.

So your getting the SVC one, correct?

I would definitely look into fabing something up before coming cause most shops just have a basic clap that most likely won't work on your bumper.
U bolts will most likely also scrap the powder coating off, maybe get some kind of rubber padding to place around it.
Also don't forget a noodle or plumbing foam pad to place around the flag to stop it from smashing the paint on your hood.

I'll be staying in the Chicago area Thursday night and then heading to the dunes Friday morning. If you don't find someone that is staying at the hotel Thursday night, I'll be happy to deliver at the dunes.

Thanks Bussy. My travel plans are still not solid, depends on how tired I get each day of driving. It's a long haul from Edmonton, I am looking at 28 hours or so. I might only make it to Chicago for Thursday night, might be a good place to stop anyways as I have only ever been to the airport there.

I don't think they rent flags just sell them and they do have noodles I believe for sale.

For a economical alternative to the noodles they sell at the flag shops, just go to any home depot or lowes and buy a tube of the smallest diameter pipe insulation foam. 1 tube (4 or 6 foot I recall) which is more than plenty is only $2 or $3 bucks.
