Yeah, they have since fixed the problem. I have a new set of boatecs on my truck and love them, 0 problems. Kirk at raptoraddict or TMX would have better insight on why they had a problem in the first place.

The fenders they're selling now are a good quality though.

Thanks man. appreciate the insight, I saw earlier today a post from who knows how long ago and the "person" was just saying how they crack under heat, and I definitely don't want to use the glassworks fenders because those fenders have a terrible fit and I'm very OCD about my truck, has to be 100% perfect or it comes off.

I am running the Glassworks and the fit couldn't get any better. I have run fiberglass body panels on many different drag cars in the past and the Glassworks quality was very impressive.

If that's the case and you really want to put glass on your truck you'd better be ready to spend an a$$ load of time shaping them or a huge stack of $100's paying a shop to get any companies glass to fit 100% perfect. Cause no glass is perfect

You are wrong, my Glassworks are great. Be prepared to spend money because you won't get a perfect fit out of either company. Boatec has had their share of melting fenders too. For someone with such a strong opinion, you may want to do more research. Also Glassworks have been around forever and make great products.

Remember fenders are about increasing off road performance and capabilities, not to look pretty sitting on a street queen parked in a parking lot.

Whoa buddy calm down hahaha. Money isn't the issue here let's get that straight. What I do with my truck is on me. If I want to offroad or not it's on me. I'm not satisfied with glassworks fitment. Shit they all look the ******* same. Yeah boatec had some hiccups but they fixed that problem. I've done my research don't worry about that.

Okay yes obviously ALL glass isn't a 100% fit. I'd like to be 100% satisfied though. Me saying 100% was a exaggeration but I want to be satisfied with me paying $800 for glass it better fit damn good.

Aftermarket glass will look as good as you want it to. As long as it's taken to an experienced body shop, you can get the fit and finish you desire. Some brands of glass may fit better than others (reducing the amount of money you pay for fitting), but even then, 2 sets of fenders can be different from each other from the same manufacturer. It's a little bit of a crap shoot.

The best thing to do is find a good body shop in your area (hopefully with experience with Boatec and Glassworks) and see if they have a recommendation and get an idea of labor cost to install. The shop that did my glass didn't care for a particular vendor's "glass", so I tried something else (he has a solid reputation installing aftermarket glass).

Just my .02 cents
