Grounded mine behind the kick panel on a 10mm bolt, like in the 1st Gen video that guy posted on YouTube. Ill try regrounding it elsewhere tonight.

I'm a couple days behind, but if you haven't figured out your issue check the harness itself. My center light wouldn't work, turned out the wires weren't crimped correctly. I tugged on the connection and found the insulation was the only thing crimped. Checked the other crimps, quite a few were loose. Ended up redoing most of them - everything works properly now. I'm grounded to the ground bolt in the passenger kick-panel and all works correctly.

Add me to the list as well for quality issue with the spade connector on the LVJ/GJ wiring harness. Thanks to @IDI-Charlie for figuring this out and @BenBB for explaining the issue to me. My cargo light was not coming on. Replaced the connector and works as it should now.

Glad it helped yall out. Unfortunate to see it's still an issue.

Last I heard from some others is it was just the one that GJ made in house that was having the issues - that is the one with the crimped terminals that interfaces with the OE harness.

Oh you might be right it could have been made in house. Mines not new, I’ve had it almost a year and a half. My center light just never worked as a cargo light. It’s fine as a reverse light.

This is a very timely thread! Not sure if it's the cold (we've had more than a few days at -25C or lower in a row) or if it's the age of the truck, but my OEM 3rd brake light has decided it doesn't want to work.

Sometimes the red leds work as markers, sometimes they work as brake lights and sometimes nothing at all. I tried removing and drying/warming inside, but other than a dead ladybug stuck inside the lens, there was nothing obvious. The red lights seem to work if I press on the bottom of the lens or give it a few taps, but then they turn off the first time I use the brakes. All that to say, time for something new!

I've ordered the GJ kit from 4x4Led's today, I'll have to read up on the issue noted above so I'm ready for their arrival!
