As a wrap up to this adventure, I'd have to say the ddl does not work as delivered.
The axle dampers had no hope of controlling pinion angle, regardless of valving, oil viscosity, and nitrogen pressure adjustment.
The anti squat behaviour was very poor, and required excessive damping in the bypass to tame.
And the axle shocks self destructing under braking is a no go of course.
It works great now as a third link/panhard setup, is much more durable, and should be designed and sold as such by Giant.
The bypasses should have more tubes though, as I'm stuck with single tube free bleeds now. Valving on the bypasses should be in the 15/10 range, rather than the 20/12 provided, due to the short lower links motion ratio. And spring rates should be 400/400.
I'm posting this information here, as Geoff seemed very unreceptive to the notion that the ddl will not work on a raptor.
