I just want my dash screen to stay on my gauges and not go back to trip 1 every time i start the truck.

Yeah it is a weird behavior. I ran into the same thing. And if you turn off Trip 1 it will go back to whatever the next option is that is +1 up from My Guages. Now if in Performacne screen it does come back to that screen about 95% of the time....occasionally it goes to 1 up which is Driver Assistance. Checked Forscan and could not find anything obvious. Hope someone comes up with a solution.

Mine is always on measurements and I start it and it goes to Driver Assistance.
Weird, mine always goes to the performance gauge layout when i start the truck no matter what screen its on when i turn the truck off.

It wasn't always like this, i wonder what is going on that we all have different screens the truck likes to default to

I'd gladly take fess "features" if things would simply just work. I had to reset the APIM multiple times yesterday just to get Android Auto to stay on and functional. One of the main reasons I keep bucking my wife as she insists for me to find a Raptor R to swap for. There's no way I am paying Porsche money for an F-150; it's gonna be just like this one, only a little bit faster. No thanks, I'd rather get a Porsche, but need the truck. We already have a Cayenne, so I can't get another one cuz that's dumb. A TRX is begging for some attention down the road, but still - lots of money for a glorified work truck.

I think if you select the gauges screen from the My View menu it will stay at selected menu but has to be in the My View. Outside of the My View menu it just defaults each time from what I noticed on my 24.

If I reset back to my factory as built file, will that effect any dealer or OTA updates I’ve received since then? Will I need to reinstall those too?

No it should not unless Ford pushed a config and that is highly unlikely.

But u want to reset back to the files you initially saved before you made changes and NOT to the factory as-builts downloaded from Ford for your VIN as they can be different from what came in your truck.

Thanks. I have a asbuilt that I immediately saved when I bought the truck. Only problem is a can’t figure out how to load it. Seems like you have to load .ab files to each module individually?

Yes each module individually. Why restoring? Have not heard of a dealer that cares.

Have an airbag fault that I think might be related to my seatbelt chime removal efforts. getting an error that says Restraint Indicator Lamp warning, and that my passenger airbag might not work.

Dealer replaced the battery and the seat occupancy sensor but still getting the error and there’s no other steps in the TSB to solve the issue. My thought is that I just reset my AsBuilt and see if that was the cause. @FordTechOne if you have any advice I’d greatly appreciate it, namely if there’s other steps to figure out the root cause.

Oh and the DTCs are for the RCM and OCS module but I can’t even access the OCS module in forscan so Im having my doubts that I was the cause of it. codes are below
