which forscan mods have you done? and did this phone issue start before or after? did you update the phone because of this issue?

wonder if the truck just DL'ed some kind of update and messed it up.. what else could it be?

CarPlay randomly started to disconnect about 3 hrs into my drive home from brand new.

I changed fogs on with hi beam, disabled seat belt chime and double honk, turned on numerical values for the temp gauges.

I think the audio defaulting to “off” during startup began after the phone update and forscan. Didn’t really notice it until after that. But then again, i changed the forscan 2 days after taking delivery lol.

So we don't really have a clear answer at this point it seems. Quite frustrating really. brand new and was working like a charm... and now..

Maybe should make another post all by itself to see if non-forscan'ers' are getting this issue..

Related perhaps? I use Android and listen to Spotify while driving in the Raptor. There are certain areas around the county that cause the Raptor to loose the connection with the phone. The outage last for one or two minutes as I drive through the area. One place is a line south west of our airport. That blanking spot reaches out 5+ miles from the airport. Another is near our radio stations office where they have several "antenna" pointed at the transmit tower out of town.

It would take some good equipment and time to verify what is interfering at these locations but it happens every time we pass through. Annoying at best.

Wait..so you are saying that a "localized" bluetooth connection is getting interrupted by an outside source..? I mean I thought it used the local wifi and B tooth on the phone to connect instead of the pesky USB (which i guess I can default to, but the whole purpose of the newer stuff, is, well to use the newer stuff! lol right? )

But that's crazy you are getting that kind of repeatable connection loss.. must be a jammer of sorts then.. or their radar is just that powerful.. prob the latter..

So.. to add to the confusion.. yesterday eve, got in, and voila.. it works. used it the whole 15min drive home.
This morning.. again.. it's like it's just not 'in the mood' lol.. no sense of it.

Check THIS out!! I had a feeling my ride was too stiff, compared to my Gen 2 and what everyone says about Gen 3 being butter. I dug up this Gen 2 guide and tried it. Minor extra step to put the live shocks in engineering mode but FORScan explains it during the procedure.

Huge difference in ride quality over rough pavement and a washboard dirt road. Amazing this was off by so much. (Pic is my before and after).
