Has anyone talked with SVC, RPG, ADD ect ect to get their thoughts on the '17 and the ability to mod it vs. the gen 1?

There's a few pics with regular f150 modded by them^ that look good IMO
Shelby would be one of them!

A few I've seen do look pretty good. It seems like ADD has probably had their hands on more 2015's than anyone else.

After seeing the '17 CAD information, it'll be a very able platform to build off of; which is why Rogue and RPG have already built '15+ F150's.

What was Rogue's reasoning for making the J link kit a 2015 and up only? Is the R&D for the first gen platform already being abandoned?

I can see wanting to get a jump on the market for the next big wave, but I would guess a lot of first gens are at the point of being paid off, which gives owners more money for those big builds.

When you really get down to the nitty gritty, yes, a lot of Gen 1's are getting paid off. But you have these guys that have already modded these out and are waiting for the next big thing, the Gen 2. Then they'll start all over again. You now have a wave of new Gen 1 owners, but these owners don't necessarily mod in the same way. They're looking for better deals, cheaper parts, used parts, etc. We will always cater to the needs of the customer, but from a cost from start to finish to produce a J-arm kit for the Gen 1, the demand won't be the same as the next wave.

What's better than a brand new Gen 2 Raptor, a brand new Gen 2 Raptor that's done up and like no other Gen 2 Raptor out there.

We're always down for custom builds and welcome that, but there will not be a production J-arm kit for the Gen 1.

Not too many business will give you the straight answer, but that's the way it is. It's a business, and you always have to be working on the newest thing to keep the dollars flowing.

Thanks for the honesty. I can't argue with what you say, as you guys have a much better feel for the market then I ever will. You do what you have to do to survive. For me it sucks. My truck has long been paid off. It's been bruised and battled but ready for more. I have no desire to jump into another huge truck payment. It's modded but the suspension (specially the rear) is getting worn and lacking in performance. If I replace, I want to step it up. Something like the canti Kit would be a good step up, but I want to go beyond the canti to a link and coil like the j link kit would provide.
