My biggest complaint with the gen2 was the sound. Gen3 takes care of that. I also don’t mind terrible mileage, as what the trx gets, but come on... 250 miles per tank? compared to 500 in a gen2/3
Trx’s (dodges in general) are ugly af
gen 3 looks more like the gen 1 and I think for that reason it is going to lure a lot of us 1ers over...

Am I wrong to assume this had 35" Tires and had a similar blue interior like the 20? The blue seats in the video looked decent.

Let me guess you probably drove Prius before you decide to buy a truck with ecoboost....I have had ford trucks with V8 since 1993. Ford shit the bed when they put a V6 into the Raptor and they did it again for the gen 3 because of the tree hungers and millennials . so I guess we will both have a *************.

Tree huggers and millennials lol? Wow, now I’ve heard it all.

Ford used the EcoBoost in the Gen 2 because it makes more horsepower and torque than either the 6.2 or 5.0 V8s while being much lighter and more efficient. It offers improved performance in every metric. The fact that you call that “******** the bed” just shows your ignorance.

Thank you. I was waiting for the Raptor R but it time for change and I don't want to wait. I am not sure the GT 500 engine will hold up. The old case iron block and push rod engines are battle proven. Plus it easy mod to push an extra 150 HP...The weight is about the same as my Gen 1. The gas mileage is about the same also..

Yea, let’s go back to 2 bolt main, iron head & block, cork gasket, rope seal, 800lb carbureted big blocks that make all of 200HP. Where are you getting “150HP” in mods from?

The Predator 5.2 is a 6 bolt main deep skirt block with forged pistons, rods, and crank. Pistons are cooled by oil jets and the heads are CNC machined. The head bolts pull from the bottom of the block. It has no issues making 760HP while passing all of Ford’s required durability and longevity testing.

It really doesn’t matter that you’re “not sure” the 5.2 Predator will hold up; your opinion is irrelevant because you clearly don’t know anything.

I find it funny that you people think a manly thing...I have been driving V8 since the late 70s. It about the whole driving experience/package. I don't get that with V6. I believe it a generational Thng... Before I was post to Germany in 89, I bought and modified an 85 IROCZ HO instead of purchasing a Grand National because of the sound and the dash was exactly like my fathers Olds station wagon..

I agree with the generational thing. I'll be sticking with my Gen1 V8, as I have no interest in the EcoBoost V6.

With that being said, I'll definitely look at the "R" if it ever becomes a reality, but using a supercharged V8 for a DD may not be in my best interest personally or financially. ;)

Sound over performance. Nice man. You'll do well with a fiat...all show no go....unless it's a drag strip. Fiat will earn my respect when they run their stock truck through baja then drive it home like the Gen 2 Raptor did. That kind of credibility will escape Fiat until they step up and run their rig through the environment it was supposedly designed for...hope the driveline doesn't break....cause yeah...that's a thing

Is it possible to increase torque without any increase in horsepower? Even just a little bit? The new exhaust has to do some minimal amount, but I'm not an engineer. I did stay at a Holiday Inn recently.
