Do you have any side by side comparisons of the SPD trombone vs the Ford OEM trombone? I just added the Ford OEM to my 23 Raptor R and its very raspy and doesnt sound good and may want to upgrade to yours. Do you have any videos of the trombone on a raptor r with everything stock and one with the resonators in the tailpipes cut off? In Ca we cant add the downpipes.

In theory, if this trombone is added without the downpipes or exhaust, the overall volume should not increase, right? The trombone should only be changing the tone, not volume, from what I gather.

The only R with an spd trombone has SPD downpipes as well - theres sound clips on my IG of the oem trombone and another set of clips with the SPD trombone Ill link.

From everything ive noticed (havent touched a dyno in 6 months) yes, its sound only.

The downpipes will add performance and we do have a few sets in stock that will ship out whenever youre ready!

First batch thats not mine or the set on the test R ships next week, nobody has it yet but there are sound clips ive posted around out there.
Fingers crossed I’m in that first batch!

I have a Garrett IC with the SPD Down pipes and now the SPD trombone all installed. The sound ( for me ) is perfect. pleasantly grumbly on normal and it barks in Sport. I went through the Big Dig tunnel in Boston tonight and punched it in Baja. OH BOY! I can tell you just about every brake light came on. It hurt my ears and my windows were only just cracked open.
The main difference I hear is the rasp and whine are much more subdued when the turbo kicks in. But alas it still sounds like a 6 trying to be an 8. The low end roar just isn't there like on my Gen2.
All in all I am very happy with the set up. SPD does quality work, all the pipes fit perfectly.
Shout out to Apollo for turning me on to these and for the great customer service!

I will post videos tomorrow for the finished install and sound

I just got mine about 2 weeks ago. The sound is definitely an improvement but it’s really hard to capture on microphone. The trombone itself fit perfectly, seems like another quality piece from SPD!
Do you have the downpipes too? Does it get rid of the rasp that happens at higher RPMs?

Has anyone else had these installed? I'm hoping to find more sounds clips for comparison before I decided to purchase.
