I have a Lightning Blue Bronco ordered which is a shade darker than Velocity. I might stick with my original Iconic Silver since both blues are similar.

Im I the only one that thinks this new lightning is just another slap in the face to ford enthusiasts?. Its a normal looking electric pickup, thats it. lightning used to mean performance, exclusivity, presence. Now they are gonna slap that name on a mass produced vehicle and water it down. whats next, are they gonna make a generic cookie cutter car to compete with tesla and slap the "cobra" name on it because its well known?

They already did that with the Mach-E. Nothing on that vehicle has anything to do with the Mustang aside from some horse badges. Name IP is super contested with cars so might as well run it back if you already have a trademark.

It's the way marketing works. Remember the Mustang II? The Bronco II? It was really hard to get enthusiastic about either one.
