So, if you’re going call out spelling mistakes, pay particular attention to your own musings.
Bless your heart !
You’re entitled to your opinion and to express it, but not necessarily on FRF and subject to time, place and manner restrictions. Doing so, however, opens you up to others potentially expressing their opinions which may be counter to yours.
Let’s focus on the value argument, because you have not substantiated the Raptor GT relationship or lack thereof regarding the power plant. What you’re neglecting to account for in your opinion is that like few other vehicles on the road or off the road in this case, the Raptor is greater than the sum of its parts in that it is balanced extremely well across the spectrum of power, stability, handling and durability and not skewed into any one performance ‘direction’. Anyone can throw a graphics package and expensive shocks on a truck. Ford went to the trouble testing the F150 and the Raptor well beyond what most users will do and make sure that these two will meed even the most demanding consumer expectations.
Unlike most of the responders, I also think that the Raptor is overpriced but that is colored by my previous vehicle buying. It is expensive for what you get, but so is the C8. Manufacturers also have to meet the DOT and EPA regs, and let’s not forget CA emissions we’re all paying the price for. In that light, I can understand the high MSRP of the Raptor, which likely came out of the engineering proposal more powerful, with different options available and they were whittled down to what can be sold in 50 states, meet the regs and still survive contact with the consumer. I may not agree with the Raptor MSRP, but I can understand it and ever time I am off road with the Raptor I am reminded why I spent the money and I have not once regretted spending that money. The downpayment I put on the Raptor was the biggest personal check I’ve ever written. Just like the tattoo says : “no regerts” ;-)
Respectfully, no, you’re not. The ‘clickbait’ title was an insult to every FRF member who has bought or is considering a Gen3.
You had other motivations for your post and the title and it was not honest, forthright debate. Had you been interested in a thoughtful or productive discussion, you’d have chosen better words and language. Instead, you chose another path.
TL;DR: you have exhibited childish, troll like behavior with your rude, insulting post and attempted condescension calling out ‘mouth breather spelling errors’ after failing to proofread your own post. Go forth and buy your C8 and do so with the certainty of your convictions.
@Big Blue : This discussion is a cl@wn show. can we get a lockdown or delete please?
