They are functional to help with clearance detection. Seriously. Very useful in some tight situations.

I agree completely, but also think the antenna should be the exact height (not taller) as the roof of the truck. I’ve had many experiences with my antenna hitting an underground garage but still being able to fit the truck.

I would have kept mine on if that were the case. As it was, it only took times in a parking garage to knock the paint off my stock antenna ….not to mention how annoying it was to hear it banging against the ceiling all the way up and down.

My antenna saved me from a sign that said 7' maximum, yeh that was BS....I will never remove it.

Agreed. I removed the ball from the top of the antenna, cut it to be just slightly higher than the roof, and put it all back together. Not a fan of those bullet antennas. They belong on Dodges.

So how can they bump the torque by 40 ft lb but keep the horsepower the same?
