The side graphics looks particularly bad on that truck, IMO. And normally, I like or am neutral with hood graphics, but it just doesn't look right.

I heard they are stopping raptor production due to shortage of semiconductor for few weeks, I have a feeling the first year production is going to be plagued with shortage of parts

From my source, they are not stopping any production, however they are cutting shifts due to some parts low on inventory.

Have they started production yet? I admit to not being too familiar with how it all works, but I would guess that they would start taking orders then start production. Even if we aren't talking about customer orders, I thought dealers had to specifically request the options they wanted on the vehicles they took inventory for.

It is made in the same plant as the F150 in Dearborn (and F150 in KC Assembly). I am not saying they are in full production, but the line is running for current F150's and Raptor test mules etc. They are fine tuning the line for the adjustment from the F150 (frame/suspension/etc). The line was re-tooled for the Raptor the last few shutdowns.

Everyone keeps saying they are stopping production on the F150, however this is NOT true. They are cutting back *****. You just do not shut down an assembly line. The only time production stops is for scheduled shut downs in July and December (and of course covid) when they re-tool and make modifications to the line. I deal with the E-Coat portion and it is too expensive to let paint baths just sit and too much $$$ to keep pumps/systems running. They typically drain the tank line and do maintenance in the tanks during these times.

I can tell you on my side, automotive is in full force based on our current orders in house for the Big 3. Also last year, I typically get a bonus in mid year and Christmas, however we got 3 more. When eveything shut down for covid, plants did allot of maintenance with small crews.

This is from my contact when I asked about slow down (from mid march)

"Look forward to seeing your new truck, when it arrives. Parts are starting to be an issue, especially the microchips for the modules. All manufacturers will be affected.

Not sure no the order bank for the Raptor, but will do my best to follow up with VO to find out.

Again, thank you for choosing FOMOCO and look forward to seeing it."
