Gen 3-Fun Facts

Sorry if this is a duplicate, but I’m coming from a 2013 Wrangler. An incredibly archaic and Neanderthal of a rig. I got the raptor and playing around with functions.

I can go through the manual, but what “fun facts” or “tips and tricks” do you have with the raptor that a first time 22 F150 Owner Wouldn’t even know.

Example would be triple clicking the lock function would turn on zone lighting. (Obviously that’s not true but you get the point).

Congratulations and welcome! I think this is a great idea for a thread. There were things on my Gen 1 that I didn't know about for quite a while and there was a limited information base to draw on and almost no publish how to info. I would add that the Gen 1 is also quite the Neanderthal compared to the Gen 3.

Most know, but there are several different modes you can access through the traction control button. One push will turn off traction control, and if continue to hold it will turn off advance trac.

I just got my letter for RaptorAssault yesterday. I think I will be going out there in late spring. My wife needs to go out that way for work too so we may coordinate with that trip.


Quick question for the group... is there a way to put the current gear selection in the center of the tach in Normal or Sport mode. I have seen video clips (probably from RaptorAssault) with current gear displayed there but have no idea what mode. I can see it in my COBB but would like to have it on the dash display at times.

The only way I’ve found to get the gear indicator displayed is to put it in manual mode and use the paddle shifters. You can toggle manual mode on/off quickly to see what gear you’re in but it’s not ideal.

just hit one of the paddles while in D and it will tell you what gear your in

Thanks, I run in manual pretty often and see the indicator at the bottom of the screen but still haven't been able to get it in the tach gauge center. Maybe what I saw was in one of the new Ranger Raptor videos. Who knows?
