I don’t think any dealer is eating tax for anyone.

Some are required by state law to collect it at the time of sale, other states collect it when you register

Agree, they can't 'eat' tax, it has to be a line item on the paperwork.

My deal a few weeks back was trade-in 2019 Raptor and a check that included everything else - remaining $, tax, fees, etc. Yes, tax was a line item in the deal sheet, but I told them what I would write a check for and they backed into each of the line items.

Quoted 7.8% 60 month through ford with an 840 credit score just a few weeks ago. Also had quote through BoA 6.09% 60 months. Ended up just doing cash.

Got mine a week ago and got 5.04% from Navy Fed for 72mos. I did get a .25% discount from having my military retirement deposited into a navy fed account.

I couldn't find anything else that came even slightly close to that.
