That bed rack is sweet!! I under stand the tent setups and all but how do they support all that weight on the overhang? As stupid as it sounds I would be so scared falling asleep and have someone steal/drive off with my Raptor with me sleeping up top. :)

Thanks I just watched parts of it. I wonder if he has ever heard of using a second pulley in a pulley system to make it easier. I guess not, or maybe he didn't have another pulley.

Yeah, somewhere in the middle of the video he shows the decked system installed, then he shows the Leitner Rack finished a little later then at the end you can see the Roost tent.

Any one running a RTT on their Gen 2? I am thinking about putting one in the bed on a low profile bed rack. Anybody running this set up? Or have one on a standard bed rack or the roof? I am interested on how the Raptor rides and performs off road and on road either full time or part time with a RTT. Any need for mods to the suspension for the weight?

I've got a James Baroud Horizon Vision over the bed mounted using INNO square crossbars/truck stays. It's very low profile, seen a few thousand miles on-road and some decently hard miles off, slept in it a bunch and no issues so far.

I did end up making a few mods to beef everything up for heavy use. First, I cut off a portion of the bed rail caps and braced the exposed rail with aluminum angles to provide a flatter, sturdier mounting point. I also used 4 crossbars instead of just 2 to further distribute load on the rails and prevent flex in the bars with 400 lbs of family sleeping in it. Lastly, I braced one of the crossbars with aluminum c-channel and placed it directly under the hinge to support the center of the tent when open (I'm sure James Baroud would say this is unnecessary, but I wasn't happy with the amount of deflection between the mounting support and the hinge).

All in all, very happy with how it turned out.

That sounds like a good set up. Would you mind posting a few pics when you get a chance? Thanks for the info!

is it hard to access the items you put in the bed?
