Update: Gen 2 shocks have been on my 2014 Raptor 4 1/2 years (57,000+ mi.), daily driven and not a single issue thus far. Truck rides and drives good, no leaks and no noises from the shocks, best $640 that I've spent on the Raptor.

This really is an underrated mod. Highly recommend unless you’re one of the few on here that really use their raptors.

Another year has passed and these gen 2 shocks are holding up very good after 5 1/2 years and 67,000 miles without a single issue. In the past two months I've made four trips to San Antonio, Tx (1,000 miles each) and the truck still is as comfortable to drive as it was new, maybe even better. Raptor has 185,000 miles and still going strong.

I've got a nice set of 4 used oem Gen 2 Fox 3.0's for sale in Northern California, fyi. They have about 65k easy miles. I didn't end up using them. $475.

Right about now, I'm thinking I should have gone ^^^ this way instead. I already had a set of "gently used" G2 Fox 3.0's. Swapping over the G1 coils and retaining the shims would have been easier and cheaper than what I went through.... and I still need limit straps to complete it.

There was so much negative info being spread about this mod that I was very skeptical about attempting it. I read every post that I could find at the time and came to the conclusion that the people spreading misinformation had not done this mod and were simply keyboard engineers with no hands on experience. Being a dirtneck mechanic I was able to do the shock exchange without the use of spring pullers or straps, it was like being on the assembly line. After putting the truck back togather I took it to a shop that had a alignment specialist with 35 years experience and he was able to get it to the pirate air specs just like he did when I put the gieser springs on the gen1 shocks. That reminds me, I should have the alignment checked.
