I thought the bead locks were 37# and the peasant wheels were 34-ish?
I know my Motegis run 24# per so I’m at a minimum 10# per wheel lighter. It’s gonna be tough to appreciate on a 3 ton truck though.
They are still a M*ther F*cker to change or get up into the bed.

Yup … peasant wheels for me!

I actually really liked them when I had them on, and a big reason I had those Venomrex wheels on there the past couple years. I just like the way that ‘snowflake’ pattern looks on a wheel.

Just a quick test fit… Had no concerns, but wanted to be 100% sure on hub centricity and brake caliper clearance:

And I need to nut punch whoever put those lug nuts on the last time…had to be the wrench monkeys gorillas at my local Discount Tire when I had the current set rotated and balanced after my road trip this past summer.

Had to be close to 200 ft-lb…I literally couldn’t budge them with my 16” breaker bar, even with me leaning on the bar and pushing.

First time I’ve had to break out the 3’ breaker bar in a very long time.

im with you on the lightweight tire debate! I'm planning to use a lightweight set of 35s for the street. and another set of wheels with 37s for the dirt. my ~60lb 35" tire short list:

Continental TerrainContact AT 315/70/17 -- Looks lame, drives amazing on the street. turn-in and direction change at speed is unmatched for a land-yacht raptor. Overall braking is exceptional. Wet handling is the best truck tire ive used.

Yokohama Geolander AT4 315/70/17 -- just released. very interesting, have not tried it yet.

K03 -- interested to try the new-new. I did not love the K02 like so many others

Goodyear Wrangler MT 315/70/17 -- bronco OEM tires, had them on our bronco. looks decent. handles ok, kinda meh.

Got the ball rolling on phase two…

IMG_0188.jpeg

Will cross post at the beginning of this thread where I reserved a spot for the side quest to Full Race. Hope Tier 1 gets my clutches in this week, so I can get there by Friday… looks like Geoff’s gonna be busy the next few weeks, and really want to meet him, and get his opinion on the folks at Tier 1.

Weird, I can’t edit my initial ‘reserved’ posts… Will just keep going here I suppose.
Unfortunately, it's built into the forum, after a time frame a thread can't be edited, but just keep adding new posts to this thread.

Sorry I just found this thread today, great build so far and a man after my own heart. I've had four Raptors, all scabs. I would also love an R, but have zero interest in a screw. Decided to make my own R and just sent my Gen 1 up to JDM last week.
