First: Just because the engine in your Raptor is a 3.5TT does not mean it is the same as the one in the Ford GT.

Second: Horsepower and Torque aren't all there is in a successful racecar. But you knew that. Downforce generated by the aerodynamic bits plays a huge part. So does suspension, tires, driver, tuning, etc...

Third: Your oversimplification to prove a point does nothing more than compare apples to spaceships.

Fourth: It didn't work.

Calm down dude, Truckzor brought LeMans into this discussion and all I was doing was pointing out the countless flaws in his arguments.

But as far as 3.5L V6TT versus big displacement N/A V8s go, the GT beats the Vette just like the G2 out performs the G1.

V6TT : 2
N/A V8 : 0

Wow, so forced induction adds more power huh?

That's still apples to spaceships like I said. V6TT vs V8TT is a fair comparison. FI vs NA just isn't.

Thank you for acknowledging the V6TT is superior engine choice over the N/A V8. That's why Ford's engineers put it in the G2.

Truckzor is a little slow, but maybe he will eventually come around too.

Thank you for inferring your own meaning into what I said.

I said...FI will always produce more power than NA out of the same engine.

I did not say...it is the superior engine choice for this application

I did not say that because...I believe that an NA engine is a better choice for playing in the desert. As does the entirety of the desert racing community. I'm sure that's probably not because they can't afford turbos or a supercharger.

What I will say is this...for the average joe who can't make up his mind between wanting a truck that gets 17+ mpg and still makes him feel like BJ Baldwin on the way to walmart. The 3.5TT fills that role nicely. The 6.2 does it decently as well.

I'll close with this...in the desert, it's not about how fast you get to fast. It's about how well you stay fast through the rough stuff. All generations of raptors will get walked all over by a 4 banger ranger with beams/links and 150hp because he doesn't have to let off where we do. HP/TQ are fun, but suspension/tuning is king in the dirt.

How's that?

If we are comparing all around performance, the G2 beats the G1 hands down. Larger shocks, more travel, less weight, reinforced frame, and more power. All of the things that matter in the desert.

No, the G2 doesn't compare to custom built desert runners, but who is talking about spaceships now?

Re-read my post. Seriously.

Also that last analogy was to illustrate the importance of suspension in the desert. Not bash on either Raptor.

Take your fanboy hat off bruh. If you read back through my post. It isn't biased towards either generation. I state my preferences, but give credit where it is due, and mention that it's the suspension, not the motor that make an off-road truck.

Your turn.

So you’re saying the G2 is so much better than a G1 that it’s not even far to compare them. I actually agree.

Well your own argument backfired on you. You aren’t looking too bright right now. Dumber and slower.
