Are you saying the GT isn't a 3.5 liter ecoboost?

You're arguing against yourself here. We both know the Gen 2 engine isn't the same 3.5 as the GT and isn't the same 3.5 as the taurus. I know it's hard for some people to comprehend that just because a vehicle has the same displacement that it doesn't mean it's the same engine.

Anyways, enjoy your truck, I'm sure it's awesome regardless of what year it is. There's no point in wasting more time on someone who is stuck in the past and can't acknowledge that technology improves. Cheers.

But the same basic motor was offered in the Taurus, right? And we all know the "GT" only got a 3.5 due to class rules at Le Mans (artificial constraints would be the only reason to put an engine that belongs in a transverse mounted front wheel drive passenger car configuration in what's supposed to be a super car).

Also, aluminum and turbos aren't new tech.

Enjoy your truck, as well. Just stop puffing on the Ford marketing hype. It's really light on low end torque. And power when heat soaked. And power when modded.

I could go on.

Before you dumped several $K into your engine to supercharge it, the low end torque of the 6.2 was nothing to brag about.

He's a little slow. He thinks the Gen 2 is limited to 1500 RPM. He also thinks all 3.5 V6's are identical.

Obviously you are clueless about LeMans rules because Corvette, Ferrari, and Aston Martin all ran V8s and the "Taurus" motor beat every one of them in 2016. In fact Ford took four out of the top five spots that year. How's that for low-end torque? (competitors complained so much that Ford had such an unfair advantage that LeMans constrained Ford's performance the next year to make it more fair)

Ford picked the V6TT for performance reasons and has the trophies to prove it.

Cared enough to post, though.

That chart is fake news, friend.

Who you calling slow? :ROFLJest:

He's just a moronic troll who can't afford a Gen 2.

I'm not the troll here. Just posting facts. Sorry if they hurt your feels. You guys really are so insecure.

Exactly. Class rules put the turbo motors at a significant advantage, thus why Ford chose to run one. What part don't you understand?

Hey Truckzor,

We get it!
Your Gen1 one rocks and the Gen2 turbo sucks.

You win!!!

Now get the f**k out of our forum and go back to the old Gen1 forum.

When the Gen3 turbo comes out, you can then come back and trash that one too.

Glad to see you finally acknowledged the V6TT's superior performance.

Fruckzor,
It’s clear you don’t see how weak you look posting on a board for something you don’t own. Do you post on Dodge Forums or smartphone forums or any other forums for which you don’t own the product, just to throw shade. Man you look stupid. Find some self respect.

You going to be on Gen 3 and Gen 4 boards running your mouth about an old truck people have moved on from? At some point you will realize your truck is too old to sound tough about and move on, too bad that won’t be any time soon.
