I'm just baffled an adult would be so mentally deficient so as to make these statements. This comment reinforces that you are a biased old man disconnected from reality. Reality is that most of the workforce is made up of millennials now - so yeah, they are buying vehicles they like, as your generation did before.

Who you really meant to insult is Gen Z, but not only is that still infantile (who judges people based on their age group?), but those are the people that end up always helping your age group stumble through fixing their basic computer problems. See how that works?

Hell you'll be hard pressed to find many born between 80-85 with kids in college. You are thinking of Gen Xers. I fix all my own stuff, including my computer. In the past when I have had a Millennial work on my vehicles, home etc. the work is sloppy and/or the problem becomes worse and I end up fixing it myself anyway. Not saying all Millennials are all like this, but my experiences have not been real positive. Your reaction to the word "Millennial" makes me think you fit the bill sport.

Judging people solely by their age is foolish - basing a vehicle purchase on what age group predominantly buys it - especially when said age group is the dominant one right now - is complete inanity.

Buying a raptor or not buying one based on age/etc. stereotypes is just one factor in my buying decision.

Ken Block owns a Raptor and a Focus RS, and if he wasn't sponsored by Ford exclusively he would run a STI. Since the STI>RS he had to bring in Travis Pastrana to run the Subaru since he did not want to **** Ford off.

It would not be a stretch to say most all, if not all of us, are automobile enthusiasts.

I'm on the lower end of the age range but spot on with BMWs. I've gone back and forth between trucks and BMWs based on where I've lived and trying to balance sportiness with utility. Every time I went to a truck I realized that they lack all of the sportiness, fuel economy, technology, and comfort that BMWs provide so I went back to BMW. I've been really happy with the Raptor though, and it helps that there are enthusiast forums to keep me interested.

BMWs: 330, M3, 535, X5, 330e, X3e, X1, X5M

Trucks: Sportrac, Frontier, Tacoma, Raptor

As far as the Millennial subtopic is concerned, I'm not sure why people are still talking smack...Millennials are now old enough to talk smack about Gen Z and the yet undefined next generation. That's kind of how it goes. Read "This Kind of War." The author described the Soldiers fighting in Korea the same way people still talk about millennials. Every new generation is "soft" and "lazy" and "had it too easy." When you start saying these things, it means you have lost perspective and you're old...and that's okay. We can all hate Gen Z together.

Just turned 32. Always been a car nut. I have a modified 18 raptor. I was never a truck guy, but thought Raptors were always so badass. Daily drive it since new. Have 95k miles on it [emoji28][emoji28]. Roads where I’m around suck, the Raptor makes nice. I use it as my office basically.

Also currently have a 17 AMG GTS and 20 Tesla MS Dual motor performance. Previously have had a lifted platinum f150, BMW M3, and Infiniti G35 when they were cool!

59 here. I've always had cars that suited my attitude from Mustangs to Broncos. The wife and I have bought 6 new F150's since 2010 and when I decided to buy the Raptor she just smiled. I daily drive it and it is just as fine as my loaded Platinum and King Ranch's along with the attitude and ability to go where we want. Every time I'm home she jumps at the chance to drive it over her Lariat.

The most enjoyment we get out of it is the bond with other owners we meet. (Never see a King Ranch fun run). The friends we have made via our vehicles has been pure enjoyment and we always look forward to going to meets and car shows.

Bottom line: I enjoy the hell out of spending my kids inheritance............
