Just interested in a rough demographic of Gen 2 owners. From this forum I recognize some names I have seen on other enthusiast forums, and based on the comments and suggestions I have read I would guess:

1)Gen 2 Raptor owners tend to come from a sports car background - LSX, Mustang, Subaru, Porsche, BMW etc - and have had reasonable to extensive experience modding, tracking, obsessing

2)Gen 2 owners may have the Raptor as a secondary vehicle to a daily driver and probably not as their main performance vehicle

3)owners may be 40+ in age in the median range

4)owners may have never owned an true off-road vehicle (true rock crawling FJ/CJ/TJ/JK or Rallye style race car) but may have had a Grand Cherokee, Range Rover, X5/X6, non-lifted premium 4x4 Full sized pickup

How far "off" (or "on") am I?

Pretty damn on.

1) I've owned all the things you mentioned other than the Subaru and LSX.

2) Yep, I drive a Tesla P100DL daily.

3) 40 on the dot.

4) Had a Land Rover a while back, and a plain old '96 F-150 for about 15 years.

I've heard of a few GT350 owners here, which is different than the usual pony car tire kicker. I'm an LSX'er just from swapping a tweaked LS6 into my 944 turbo track car, and towing that beast with an LSX half ton truck (LQ4 6.0 modded with leftover LS6 parts)

I traded my GT350 for my Gen 2.

I'm a sports car guy but I needed something fun that could also fit a car seat:ROFLJest:

Yup, dang close. I am 41, have a 2018 Mustang GT as my weekend joyride, I've never owned an off road vehicle before. One difference is I will be daily driving my Gen 2, probably put 10,000-15,000 miles per year on it, which still ain;t bad.

I am 24, have owned an E63 AMG and a Porsche. I would fit in your classification #1. Got the truck on FBO.

I can tell you that Texas boaters like Raptors. I was at the marina this weekend and there were 5 Gen 2's parked in one parking lot that services 2 small boathouses.

Most of the people I see driving raptors gen 1 or gen 2 are old 45+ kinda similar to the stigma that corvettes have

1. Love sports cars, but don’t currently own one. I have had a WRX and currently own a 07 S4, which shares DD duties with my Raptor. May pick up a Challenger next year for fun.

2. Bought it to replace my 01 2500 Dodge RAM QuadCab V10, which seated two adults, got 9mpg, and rode like crap. But I loved it anyway. Raptor is the perfect truck for me - 16mpg, seats 5 comfortably, rides great, tows, all the tech, looks badass. Doubt it’ll see much offroad time, but that’s ok.

3. 51

4. Other vehicles are Audi S4, JKUR built on 37s that I wheel, and Acura MDX.
