Legit answer? Told him to “send it”

I also explained to him how suspension geometry works and compared it to another situation that he is already aware of. That’s a legit answer.

I will continue to say it though. If you don’t believe me and want to prove me wrong, send it.

So in all reality, if you knew that adding a spacer that lifted the truck by 1-2” was bad for the geometry because of the INCREASED LENGTH of the suspension, what makes you think that adding 1-2” of height to the truck by adding LONGER suspension was any better?

The reason I am thinking it would be okay is because Lift kits that use longer shocks/springs are used reliably on other trucks and are recommended over spacers because they are supposed to be better on suspension components. So all I was asking is if longer shocks/springs are okay on other trucks why not ours? But that has been answered now with the raptors angles are almost maxed out from the factory where as other trucks are not. Like I said I knew shocks/spring lifts were safer to run than spacers on other trucks, I just wanted to know why shock/spring lifts don't work on ours.

I’m doing the front swap tomorrow on a buddies at my shop. Once it’s done we’ll post install pictures and how the ride, cv angles, and ride height are affected.

Looking forward to the result's..
For my Truck, Going from Gen1 Shocks With Geiser Bros Springs on Mid perch, To the same Geisers on the Gen2 Shocks made NO change on my actual ride height..

Alright so they are on. No major installation mods needed. Old springs and mounts used. He needed new upper control arms ball joints were bad. I deal with everyone at work...do u think anyone stocks control arms???? Lol no. Found some moog ones though thank god. So the control arms act exactly as the 2” level kit does. He was at 42 1/2” to the bottom of the wheel well and after the install was 42 1/2 exactly again. Axle is at the same angle and to be honest isn’t anywhere near at an angle as the f150s we have done leveling kits on. I attached some pictures and everything looks and fits great. We measured for travel limiter straps too so ordering them up just as a piece of insurance. I get my struts Monday so will install Wednesday.

Should be ok after he puts on the limited straps. That will prevent the problem of it extending too far, which is the real issue with it.

We’re gonna go from the shock tower to the control arm bolt.
