Also know that Ford keys can be cloned if a vehicle only comes with one key. My Shelby only had one key and the locksmith that had come out to make a second key explained that the cloned key would start the car but I would not be able to use it to make a third. I ended up having them give me three cloned keys unless they wanted to take it to Ford and have a true second key made.

I have 4 factory keys for my Raptor. I ordered 2 factory blanks on eBay and had my local dealer cut them and using my 2 factory keys programmed them no problem in the parking lot. The best part was the dealer parts dept cut them at no charge the catch being they would not be responsible if they were cut wrong.

YOU GUYS DONT WANT TO KNOW.. extremely over priced at dealer.. it was like 280 for the KEY and cutting it, then about 90 to program.. that what my receipt stated.. it was paid for by the parent company of the dealership. so cost me nothing.. I am told as lon as u have factory keys- a 3rd one can be done easy but u need 2 keys to program a 3rd

Yes, been that way since PATS keys began usage around MY 2000. Keeps a valet/shop from making copy.
