Guys. Probably not usefull info but when I purchased my used raptor it came with 1 key so the dealership had a local Ford dealership order me.a key took about a month..

Short story(if ur truck is tuned I recommend putting it back to factory settings) when I brought the truck in to pickup my new key and have programming done the tech said "we have to program the truck in the back and use the OBC connector. "
Anyways it's done I just watch so many videos on how they do it and thought it was odd they wanted to use my OBC.

Glad I removed my TUNE BACK.TO FACTORY BEFORE I BROUGHT TRUCK IN

You don’t have to put the car back to stock to program a key to it. I’m curious did you buy your truck from a dealership? No way I would’ve left without it already having two keys

I bought a 2019 from BMW DEALERSHIP OWNED BY HOLMAN. Holman also owns a Ford dealership 10miles away. When I purchased it per the agreement they would.get.me a 2nd key. There were 3 other looking at this raptor and I did not want to.lose it(long story 30k in aftermarket upgrades) so I bought it and they gave me a VOUCHER saying they owed me a key. So took about a month for my sales guy atbmw and push ford to get it. And I was not pushing them till the 2nd week mark. I only posted this because I thought it was odd how Ford Dealer needed to use obc. Maybe they want to do.something else, investigate.my truck. ,. Who knows. Just sharing my experience

It’s easy to program a 3rd key like shown in the manual.

If you only have one they have to use the OBD port for programming. You have to access the PCM and do the PATS programming.

Excellant. See I did. Not know that. I wonder if it matter that I deleted my tune prior to dealership. I just did not want to any hassles. I know if they look hard enough they will see COBB already my car. Lol

If you have a tune and don't put it back to stock before having your dealer do anything to it I would say, "not a very smart move." That is, if you are under warranty. Being nice here. :)
I agree. Even though my big fat intercooler gives it away. Lol

Also know that Ford keys can be cloned if a vehicle only comes with one key. My Shelby only had one key and the locksmith that had come out to make a second key explained that the cloned key would start the car but I would not be able to use it to make a third. I ended up having them give me three cloned keys unless they wanted to take it to Ford and have a true second key made.
