2 weeks into the new truck and I love everything about it. Hearing the turbos spool up is pretty intimidating. I'm not sure I could give it up even for a v8 sound, it really is that awesome. The only other turbo I've owned was a 300z in high school and it didn't sound near as mean.

3 things I wish it had. 1. A setting to auto-fold your mirrors when you park 2. A little LED that illuminates your center console box when you open it. LED bed light switch in a different place because it's hard to reach with my bed extender folded back toward the cab or folded against the bed.

What did they do about the rust you reported?

They said the rust was normal and this was even after I pointed out another raptor on the lot that didn't have any rust visible on it. There is a general service bulletin I ran across (GSB G0000108) it clearly states that surface rust on drivetrain components in non-warrantable after vehicle has been reported as sold/delivered. It is up to the dealer to catch this before delivery or the customer should refuse delivery or signing any paperwork until the rust is addressed.

From the GSB:

"The Warranty & Policy Manual, section 3, states: Underbody surface rust on frame or chassis components on vehicles reported as sold is not warrantable."

Oh well guess we are all left out on our own with rusty differentials.

I like everything about the truck except, and this is coming from a 12 n 14 Scab into a 17 Scab...

Leg room, the driver's seat leg room is definitely shorter With my 14 using my seat all the way back and down then lowering my break pedal to the max there was just enough leg room and I was comfy.
In my G2 with the seat all the way down and back then adjusting the break pedal all the way down I still need the seat to go back more but it doesn't as in the G1. I've compensated by tilting the seat back substantially more and sit down and back pretty laid back and adjust the break down all the way and now the steering wheel as well. This works to get the extra leg room but it's like I'm in a reclining position.
The G2 turning radius is not as good as the G1. I've been driving into the same garage for years and it's curved up n down steep ramps to the upper and lower levels that have tight tolerances and abrupt sharp 90 degree turns. The G1 has a better turning radius with a lil left in the steering wheel. My G2 steering wheel bottoms out reaching steering end stop in both directions forcing me to widen approach angles where there really isn't any extra room for it.
The double loud ass beep when you exit the vehicle with engine running, now I have to have the remote at the ready to shut down the truck and turn it off manually before exiting and auto start to turn it back on, to keep my engine running and passengers warm and fuzzy.WTF with the beep, it isn't like if I lick the car up with the key inside it's a problem, I have more vehicle access.
Auto start stop I hate having to disconnect it all the time . This should not be on a passive system. If I turn it off it should stay off. Fords grooming us so we will not be able to disengage it in Fords future vehicles, you heard it here first. And if you do disable it you won't pass inspection, void warranty, be subject to fines for disabling pollution control device and ticketed for idling at red lights and such.
Ford your one third of the way there to having the best tailgate. It powers open and glides down but and it's a problem...It won't power down with a Tonneau cover sitting closed on top of it. I gotta open a Tonneau cover before the tailgate operates hands free! Alot of pick up owners purchase covers, yours included. The tailgate continues to be designed without power close.Dont we deserve a lil more convenience, stop half stepping.
G2 has started off sweet just needs a lil tweaking the refinement is here but it's on its way to bring better.

I just installed my cover on last night, and my tailgate will open with the fob still. I put the BakFlip MX4 on. It's snug, but my tailgate will still drop on its own.

Yep, just had the BakFlip MX4 put on yesterday and my tailgate opens remotely just fine. Plus, I like with the MX4 you don't have to flip the cover up before closing the tailgate. Nice compared to my last two BakFlips.
