It is up to the dealer to catch this before delivery or the customer should refuse delivery or signing any paperwork until the rust is addressed.
They said the rust was normal and this was even after I pointed out another raptor on the lot that didn't have any rust visible on it. There is a general service bulletin I ran across (GSB G0000108) it clearly states that surface rust on drivetrain components in non-warrantable after vehicle has been reported as sold/delivered. It is up to the dealer to catch this before delivery or the customer should refuse delivery or signing any paperwork until the rust is addressed.
From the GSB:
"The Warranty & Policy Manual, section 3, states: Underbody surface rust on frame or chassis components on vehicles reported as sold is not warrantable."
Ford your one third of the way there to having the best tailgate. It powers open and glides down but and it's a problem...It won't power down with a Tonneau cover sitting closed on top of it. I gotta open a Tonneau cover before the tailgate operates hands free! Alot of pick up owners purchase covers, yours included. The tailgate continues to be designed without power close.Dont we deserve a lil more convenience, stop half stepping.
I just installed my cover on last night, and my tailgate will open with the fob still. I put the BakFlip MX4 on. It's snug, but my tailgate will still drop on its own.
Mine has a little led light inside. Although truth be told, it's not very bright at all, almost useless.A little LED that illuminates your center console box when you open it.
