Curious... did the painted door handles come with certain colors only? My shadow black has the black powder coated(?) finish handles vs. the painted ones. I'm pretty sure I checked off all the options for my order so I'm wondering where the differences are, if any, between packages or 802a, 801a, etc...

802A should have color matched mirror skulls and door handles.

Weird, I just assumed it was 801 vs 802

Maybe they come with the tech pkg? Do you have that?

Ugh... the late night FRF reading has got me thinking crazy.. I do have the color matched handles. The inside grip fooled me.... long weekend fellas... don't hold it against me... lol

Had my first highway drive on Saturday. Apple Car Play with Navigation was running. About 20 mins into the drive, Sync3 decided to reboot. Black screen, then "Raptor" splash screen. Took about 1-2 mins for the system to come back completely. Has happened on occasion with Sync2 in my wife's '15 XSport so I'm not surprised but clearly this software is far from perfect.

I hate how the truck honks the horn twice if i get out while its running and shut the door. If my passenger gets out and shuts the door after I get out it honks twice for them too! So annoying. This probably isn't a Raptor thing but I don't know. My 14' didn't have the smart keys.

How can I turn this off?

Yes, I hate it. I get out of the truck while its running a lot. The key is in my pocket so it honks all the time. Can that be turned off?

Back on topic...I now have about 1,500 miles on my '17 AG SCREW:

1) I've not had any issues from it skipping 2 and 4 in "Normal" mode. It does it, but I don't notice any lack of smoothness in the shifting between gears.
2) On a few rare occasions I may have noticed the same vibration you are mentioning. My initial thought was that it was merely the transmission hunting a bit for the right gear, but it never seemed to be constant or annoying in any way.
3) I experimented with the Modes and with the 4x4 selector switch. When going into "Weather-Mode" there is a noticeable decrease in response as the computer seems to limit driver input. However, leaving everything in "Normal-mode" and simply rotating the selector from 2-H to 4-A, I did not notice any change at all in response, noise or vibration. In addition, if you look in the information screen, you'll see that with either of the choices above it will show "power" being distributed to front and back on one of the screens, but if you look at the next screen (where it shows the graphic of power from the wheels to the ground) in 4-A you'll see only the rear wheels are engaged (unless you need front power at that moment).

Overall, I am absolutely loving my Raptor, but a few minor issues/complaints so far:

1) Rear backup camera is not as "bright" as the one I had on my 2012 Platty.
2) Not a fan of Apple CarPlay (not sure why, just don't like it), and still don't know why these auto companies can't figure out how to use USB thumb drives formatted to 32GBs. I'd like to be able to load up a single thumb drive with music, put it in the little console and forget about it, but I can't figure out what the magic mix is for FAT, size, power, etc. to get a thumb drive to work in this thing
3) Hey Ford, it's 2017, learn to put the AM/FM antenna in the windshield and stop with the 31" whips!
4) I'm 6'4" and wish there was just a few inches more in the left-most footwell for me to stretch out my left leg (nit-pick, I know)
5) MyKey is just pain dumb. If anyone really uses this, please let me know how and why.
6) Auto Stop/Start - I've already ranted about this in other posts

Not sure if this has been answered yet on comment 2), but I have a 64gb USB stick with over 4K songs w/ album artwork in my gen2 USB port and it plays just fine. The key is to not get the 3.0. You must have a 2.0 stick. I use PNY.

I hope this hasn't already been done, but I thought it would be nice to have a thread devoted solely to Gen 2 issues/dislikes from those who have received their Gen 2 trucks. Here are a few from me to get it started:
1) I don't like how the transmission skips 2nd and 4th gear every time when not accelerating hard. Those particular shifts are slower and they are not as smooth as the rest.
2) I am now experiencing fairly constant, but mild, vibration every time I hit the gas at speeds above 40 MPH. If I take my foot off the gas, all is well, but while hitting the gas to do something as simple as maintaining speed, I feel a very subtle vibration. I had a technician at a dealership confirm what I am feeling and they are doing some investigating.
4) When I use 4 Auto, it almost feels like I am in 4 High on dry pavement. I was hoping this feature would be just as smooth as it is in my Nissan Armada or my wife's Acura MDX, but unfortunately that isn't the case. It isn't horrible, but I definitely hear some different noises and can feel some vibration/resistance.

One more question/issue ...... Is anybody else having issues with the transmission upshifting too early causing the truck to have a slight jerking motion because the transmission is in too high of a gear and the RPMs are too low to provide enough power to coast in that higher gear? I am experiencing this issue endlessly.

Look into information on FORscan on the f150forum. I have a '15 and hated the double honk so thats the only method I know to get rid of it. Assuming it works for the raptors, you can also change other quirks with it too

The truck has a bunch of strategies to save fuel, I’ve seen rpms as low as 1100 rolling along at 40mph. I’ve never experienced what you’re describing though. I’m not terribly keen on the transmission response in this eco-mode, I would prefer something between normal and sport. It’s not atypical though, my previous car did the same thing. When you tip into the gas, first the truck will try to add boost to pickup speed until the load forces a downshift. The Raptor has an abundance of torque so it will hold the gear and pour on boost until you go WFO in normal mode sometimes. My bet is that you’re sensing this “fight” between the Raptor’s own id and ego.

I don’t feel any clunking, vibration or jerking motion as of yet, but my previous ride did do this - for the same reason too.
