I've been shopping for a gen 1 raptor for about a year and a half and have watched the prices skyrocket. I've emailed dozens of sellers, talked to a few and finally found one for a decent price that fit my requirements. I am in Santa Cruz California and am flying out Saturday morning to TX to pick up a 2013 SCREW Terrain with King 3.0 shocks and a few other upgrades. The truck is well used and is going to take a bit of work to get it cleaned up, but I can tell it's been well maintained. It's higher mileage than I wanted(170K), but the owner has had it since 40K and has been meticulous with maintenance. It seems like these trucks last well into the 200K range, so I'm hoping that's the case for this one. I'm picking it up and taking 5 days to make the drive home with my wife as my copilot. We did this a couple years ago as well when I picked up my current DD, a 2013 BMW X5M in Houston TX but did it in 2 days(X5Ms are fast...). The raptor is taking the place of my 97 Dodge Ram and my 2002 BMW M3(both of which are for sale) and will live next to my X5M and my wife's BMW i3.

This site has already been an awesome resource and I look forward to being a more frequent poster once we get the truck home.

Welcome. Tho a lot more goes on at speed with the increased travel compared to your M5 drive home experience, think you'll find it can be quick in your new ride as well. Enjoy and welcome to Team Terrain!

Maybe we'll see you in-around the area. Continue the maintenance with fluid changes and it will last you a very long time. Congrats!

I'm looking forward to seeing how the truck handles things. I've always been impressed with how well raptors handle the pavement, but I've never driven one with 3.0 shocks. I'm definitely looking forward to a bit slower pace to take in the sights along the way.

Hope so! I'm already in the NorCal Raptor Runs FB group and look forward to finding some local trails to explore.

Nice looking truck and the roadtrip should be great... You will have the best colored Raptor.
Thanks!

Thanks!

Very nice! I lived in Aptos for a bit and now live in Corralitos.
i used to take summit rd from the top of 17 all the way down to corralitos just so i could take one small jump that got me about an inch of air if i got going fast enough. i spent most of my life in that area. used to commute to the shop in mountain view on my bike every day from watsonville.

since pismo is closed, there isnt much to do in the area. i usually head out to nevada where theres a whole lot you can do. we camp, shoot, ride quads, and offroad out in nevada quite often.
