Yeah not sure where you have been but everyone has had something to say about the engine. I myself love the way it performs but im not gonna be the guy that says it doesn’t sound like shit. Let’s not get confused I love my truck. I was just simply stating the factory wheel choice sucks. If you like them right on. I know I had to give mine away because I couldn’t sell that set of wheels with 100 miles on them for $125 each.


Stock wheels better than anything you have seen right...

No offense Stickman, I personally do not like the black wheels you went to. Stock wheels aren't great, but better than whatever you put on.

The majority of people that will keep those wheels on their truck will also not change anything else. I get it some people still like chrome wheels some people like Silver. Everyone else would have atleast preferred black like the concept showed. I would say their market research sucked and they don’t always put what the customer wants hence the v6 engine....

Very true...When you see used Raptors for sale, the ones that 100% bone stock still have the factory wheels. The factory wheels are politically correct and have no "soul", just another, sorry i have to yawn, factory stamped wheel. The only research that goes in the wheel production has to do with cutting cost and making it look less awfully boring. Plus they are heavy as shit.
Just like you get the leveling block in the rear versus deaver set up. So you are going to tell me Ford researched it, and that is why and it looks beautiful? Cost, cost, cost.

No offense taken. Since this guys thread totally got hijacked by my stock wheel comment sorry for that OP.

I picked these wheels because 75% of raptor owners run method wheels. I also wanted to support the vendor Icon suspension with their new wheel division. I’ve also tried to purchase everything that has been atleast designed in America to put on this truck.

Jeez guys, they're effing WHEELS! Like them, don't like them, whatever!

As for those who stick with the stock wheels and don't mod their trucks - that's just an assumption that has some truth to it but since most trucks have factory wheels on them you could make any assumption you want (e.g., Raptors with factory wheels get LineX sprayed or bed covers, etc.).

I do love how some of you put on an aftermarket wheel and think your wheel is the greatest and you don't hesitate to tell us how the factory wheel looks like shit. Opinions are just like ******** and you've got one - congrats!

PS: Some observers might also say, "you bought a $70,000 truck and ditched the wheels for next-to-nothing ($$$) to buy some ugly as eff black wheels - congrats on having bad taste and a wasteful approach to an expensive truck"

I definitely don’t think my wheels are the best. I simply put stock wheels sucked (my opinion for everyone that got triggered like everything else these days)

And to say bad taste is just ******* stupid and makes you no better than me calling out stock wheels and wasteful approach to an expensive truck buying lighter wheels than stock wasteful I guess.

If we went by what you just said people wouldn’t mod these trucks because if your looking to get top dollar for a bunch of stock garbage parts that people have ripped off these trucks your in a dream world. I don’t mod vehicles to take a (wasteful approach) everyone does it for improvements and looks get off your high horse.

I went with the option beadlockers out of frustration with aftermarket wheels. I have had bad luck with the last two sets I purchased. One set was Fuel mavericks and Niche wheels for my SHO. Both sets I had at least one wheel that was a PIA getting to balance and had high speed vibrations. So this time I said the hell with it and plan on staying stock for that reason. But knowing me I will eventually get something, BTW the once pictured above are sharp looking.

But black wheels are so common, I had to go with something else. Hated having the same thing as every redneck on the road.
