nice. new member who joined yesterday. digs up a year and a half old thread just to say this. how about a little more info on who you are. what you do, how you did it, etc. instead of just saying a dumb áss comment.

Jesus shltfire, that's a ton of work to remove enough off the top of the motor to allow the motor to be jacked up. At that much work, I'd consider removing the cab instead. At that point, you have easy access to everything including the transmission.
Just a thought.

Sure, definitely an option to get it done. I haven't needed to pull the cab for anything yet. It doesn't look too bad and if/when I ever do, I may find it's 'the move', but for now, usually working alone in my driveway with no lift, I'm going to avoid it unless necessary.
